Thank you to the staff and volunteers of the convention; you guys helped so much and made the con even better. Thank you to the audiences of all of our panels! They wouldn’t of been as fun without you guys. Thank you to all of the wonderful cosplayers that we photographed, and to everyone who took photos of us. Thanks to everyone who helped make the Saboten Con just so much fun! We hope to see you all again. :)
We’ll be posting up our photos from the Saboten Con soon.
These fezzes are great to wear while solving any strange mystery! ;)
Saboten Con is a yearly anime convention in Arizona. Each year, thousands of fans gather together to celebrate anime, gaming, cosplay and more. It’s one of the few times of year Phoenicians can come out and cosplay in mass quantity.
The guest list ranges from professional voice actors who have performed in major video games and anime including Digimon, Naruto, Robotech, Cowboy Bebop and more. More guests include world renown cosplays such as Chris Tang and AZ Powergirl. Other guests include accomplished artists and professionals in the anime and game industry such as former THQ artist James Perry II. To top it all off, there are international music guests Iruma Rioka. Khaza (a Saboten staple), and Moon Steam among others.
Event programming at Saboten Con is also rich with things to do for Cosplayers including various tutorial panels, a Masquerade, and the coveted World Cosplay Summit. Whether you are in costume or not, there will be lots to see and many photo opportunities.
We are also proud to be a part of Saboten Con, because we are holding 3 panels about cosplay and art! Check out the details here.
Fezzes, also known as a tarboosh, are cool! The fez has heritage from ancient Greece, Turkey (known as The Ottoman Empire at the time), Egypt, and Arabic countries. Through time fezzes have been featured in many different mediums including cartoons like Secret Squirrel to science fiction shows like Doctor Who.
To help spread the love of fezzes.. We are now selling our Doctor Who Inspired Cosplay Fez on the legendary Amazon.com!
